The Snakes Head Fritillaries are now in full bloom for the 2019 season.

Goat Willow

Noticed this Goat Willow next to the River Thames last week on the first of our monthly “Bee Walks”. It provides a very welcome early nectar and pollen source for queen bees which have just emerged from hibernation. Not many bees around yet, still a bit early in the year.
