Cricklade Court Leet in 1991

Back row left to right: Peter Marshall, Reg Coole, Jim Marley, Les Cox (Town Crier). Front row left to right: Ralph Neeld (Lord of the Manor), Fred Freeth (High Bailiff)

Does anyone know where this might have been taken? The painting in the background is believed to be currently on display at Cricklade Museum. Where was it hung previously?

  1. Sir.
During the war about 1940/41 I was a young lad of eleven years of age that was extremely fortunately to be evacuated to Mr & Mrs Frederick Freeth and son Richard who was at the time about 14 months old (still in nappies.)
We remained great friends till his death some 20 odd years ago that was soon after he visited us with “Joe” for the day in Surrey.
I would like to say thanks to Richard and Son Jeremy your dad/grandad was agreat guy he will never be forgotten by me, and Richard we had a mutual friend John & Jean Fruin (car club) sadly no longer with us.
    John.
